Is it efficient to abandon PHP and learn Go from scratch in order to access Google Datastor… by Mustafa Qamar-ud-Din
Answer by Mustafa Qamar-ud-Din:
PHP is a weakly type scripting language. I find this statement as an indicator to programmers not to count on PHP for general-purpose programming. Even though PHP really reduces the time to market for web applications and there are a plethora of frameworks for all web components, a wise programmer should have more cards under his sleeves.
Go is a wonderful programming language and it has proven superior to NodeJS, ROR, and PHP for handling high traffic and simultaneous requests. There is absolutely no reason not to use Go. Arguments against the richness of the open-source community and ready made libraries for Go shall rise, but still one can go for Go.
